The Burnaby Canoe & Kayak Club wrapped up an incredible week at the 2025 Canoe Kayak Canada National Championships in Regina, Saskatchewan, proudly fielding the largest team of BCKC athletes in years. This milestone reflects the growing depth of our programs and the hard work of our athletes and coaches throughout the season.
Our athletes raced with determination against the best paddlers in the country, showing both individual excellence and team spirit. From personal best times to finals appearances and podium-worthy performances, BCKC athletes demonstrated that their dedication on Burnaby Lake translates to success on the national stage.
Beyond the results, Nationals was a celebration of how far our club has come. The size of this year’s contingent represents the strength of our development pathway—from newcomers experiencing their first Nationals to seasoned athletes leading the way with experience and mentorship.
We are incredibly proud of every paddler who wore BCKC colours in Regina. Their performances and teamwork showcase the bright future of our club and our sport.
A huge thank you goes to our coaches, volunteers, families, and supporters who made this season possible. The energy and commitment of our community are what continue to drive BCKC forward.
Here’s to an outstanding Nationals and to building on this momentum in the seasons ahead!
