Looking for a unique and active field trip experience for your students or community group? The Burnaby Canoe & Kayak Club (BCKC) is excited to offer our Field Trip Program, designed to get participants moving, learning, and having fun on the water. Bookings are now open for May and June 2026!
Groups can choose from canoeing, kayaking, or dragon boating—or even combine all three for a full day of excitement. Each option provides a safe, hands-on introduction to paddling, guided by our certified instructors.
Paddling isn’t just fun—it’s a full-body activity that builds strength, coordination, balance, and endurance. But the benefits go beyond fitness:
Teamwork & Leadership: Dragon boating fosters communication and collaboration as participants work together to keep the boat moving smoothly.
Skill Development: Canoeing and kayaking teach problem-solving, focus, and adaptability while introducing students to outdoor recreation in a safe and welcoming environment.
Connection to Nature: Located on beautiful Burnaby Lake, our program encourages environmental awareness and an appreciation of local ecosystems.
